Meet Our Founder

Savannah Eldrige

Savnnah Eldrige is a registered nurse who recognized the need for education to improve outcomes for justice-involved families while assisting her brother Frank with appealing his life sentence in Texas. She advocates for the rights incarcerated individuals as a steering committee member of the Statewide Leadership Council, Co-Director of State Operations for the Abolish Slavery National Network, and  Criminal Justice Committee Chair of her local NAACP. 


Our Programs

POST CONVICTION ASSISTANCE AND LEGAL REFERRAL SERVICE

The post conviction process can be a lengthy and costly one.  Staff have served to assist incarcerated individuals with clerical support, formatting completed briefs and working closely with clients and jailhouse lawyers conducting case law research. If the client is in need of legal representation, we can offer a referral, but we are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice. We specifically focus on clients preparing for initial state writ filings and those needing representation for a parole hearing.

Be Well

Our Be Well program provides assistance for returning citizens with chronic health management. Program participants receive assistance with applying for community financial and health resources available in their area. Medication and DME copay location and assistance limited to fund availability.

Be Connected

Be Connected is a program in which men an women incarcerated in the state of Texas may apply for help maintaining communication with outside support system. Certain criteria apply.

GRIEVANCE RESOLUTION

Incarcerated individuals may request help with grievance resolution. Prospective clients must have initiated facility grievance process prior to requesting help. 

SISTAR SEASON

Sistar Season is our annual holiday holiday giveback supporting the women of Restorer of City Streets Transitional Women's Home. During the holiday season, the women residing in the home  create a Christmas wishlist of items that will help them achieve success in reintegration, and these items are sponsored by the organization through donations. We are committed to supporting women and mothers become reacclimated to their communities and families, while successfully rehabilitat
